What causes it

Lip volume is partly genetic and partly age-related. Hyaluronic acid and collagen in the lip tissue decline over time, causing lips to thin, lose definition at the vermillion border, and develop vertical lip lines.

Best approaches

Hyaluronic acid lip filler adds volume, definition, and hydration with immediate results lasting 9–12 months. The lip flip (small amount of Botox at the upper lip) creates the appearance of more volume without adding bulk.

FAQ: Thin Lips

Will I get the "duck lip" look?

Not at Devenir. The overdone look comes from too much product placed incorrectly. We use conservative dosing, assess results at 2 weeks, and can always add more — but never overdo it in a single session.

How much filler do first-timers get?

Typically 0.5–1mL for a first treatment. We build gradually so you can get comfortable with the change and decide how far you want to go.
